The Story So Far…
From the beginning I knew I wanted to be a performer. Whether that meant putting on shows in our basement, or wearing wigs everywhere I went, I was made to entertain. I was born in Port Angeles, Washington, known to most people as that one place in Twilight. I grew up watching old 50’s movies with my grandpa, like The Blob, Creature From The Black Lagoon, and Beast From 20.000 fathoms. I was enamored with these larger than life stories and quickly graduated to more mature fare, like Alien and Jaws. (To this day I refuse to swim in the ocean, no joke.) I gravitated to these monsters, these dark stories that explored the unknown. They weaponized your greatest fears and turned them into entertainment full of gooey creatures and wisecracking heroes.
While my head was full of monsters, my ears were filled with pop music. I gravitated to people like Katy Perry, Kesha, and Lady Gaga, icons of my time who created these personas to sing their music. To entertain people. Eventually my music tastes evolved into what they are now, lots of dance, dark pop, rock and heavy metal, the things that inspire my own music as the artist CURSE. I took all these inspirations and moved to Los Angeles, where I’m based now, to study musical theatre. I was in choir in high school, and through that was introduced to musicals like Phantom and Little Shop, two shows that are still my favorites to this day. Eventually graduating from AMDA with a BFA in musical theatre, I’ve found my niche by embracing the dark sides of my personality and creating an online persona that extends into my entertainment career as an actor, singer and model. I hope that through exploring my website and getting to know me you’ll be encouraged to explore the outer reaches of your own personality, and find whatever niche makes you unique.
